The Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Association (RRCIA ) is a not-for-profit organization that works in conjunction with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM ) to increase awareness and education for Southern Nevada's natural history and the Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area.
The RRCIA seeks to enhance the Red Rock experience by providing visitors with a variety of activities, including art programs, exhibits, publications and guided hikes throughout the conservation area. In order to support these programs, the RRCIA operates the visitor center gift and book store, with all of the proceeds benefiting the organization's overall efforts to support the environmental interpretation of Red Rock.
The RRCIA recently moved its operations to Red Rock's newly completed visitor center, a 7,600-square-foot, state-of-theart facility that provides visitors with information on the natural wildlife, vegetation and geology of the conservation area.
The new visitor center was designed to be a major focal point within the conservation, and it was imperative that the RRCIA implement an IT system that would effectively support its expanded operations. Director Blaine Benedict called upon uptimeLV to design, implement and maintain a new IT system that would support the RRCIA staff as well as the onsite book and gift store. The uptimeLV team worked around the clock to ensure the transition was seamless, and Blaine and his team look forward to a continued partnership with uptimeLV.
